Traditional Tai Chi Chuan—Health and Martial Arts Through Gentle Movements
We learn the curriculum of the Ma Tsun Kuen style, beginning with foundational exercises, followed by the 6 coordination exercises (Tai Chi Tsao), and building on that, the first form (choreography), the 13-Energy Form (Shi San Shi). This forms the foundation for everything that follows and is revisited, repeated, corrected, and refined each time, with individualized instruction so that everyone receives guidance tailored to their level and can continue to develop. If you miss a session, you won’t miss anything—except the experience. You can join or leave the class at any time.
The exercises are very gentle; the main focus is on letting go more and more—which is one of the hardest things you can imagine, but at the same time so rewarding and fulfilling.
Over time, we’ll gain more and more insight into the martial arts aspect and why we practice so gently and softly (and what that has to do with fighting). To that end, we’ll incorporate very cooperative partner exercises from time to time. It’s another challenge, but one that pays off in the end.
The health benefits of traditional Tai Chi are enormous, seem almost magical, and have even been well-researched in some cases. On my website, you’ll find an overview of studies on this topic:

€5; the Wednesday class lasts exactly one hour.
Come by and let yourself be surprised by what the wisdom of the ancient Taoist masters has to offer!
Starting September 16, there will be a beginner’s course consisting of 8 sessions. It can also be booked through Hansefit. For more information, visit the website taichigufi.de.
