The Großnaundorf outdoor pool
The Großnaundorf outdoor pool is idyllically situated in West Lusatia at the foot of the Keulenberg. The Freibad Großnaundorf e.V. has been running the facility on a voluntary basis since 2021. The snack bar is run by a tenant who offers a wide range of freshly prepared meals, snacks and drinks. Our large pool (15x30 meters) is divided into a swimmer and non-swimmer area. A paddling pool is available for our younger guests. The crystal-clear water invites you to take a dip. Shaded seating is available on the large terrace.
Note on our opening hours
The opening hours are seasonal. As a rule, we open in May and close in September. In moderate weather, we reserve the right to close the outdoor pool earlier or not to open it at all. The exact dates and opening times can be found on our homepage and/or our Instagram profile on a daily basis. On public holidays, the opening hours are the same as on Sundays.
Schlemmeroase snack bar
Our Schlemmeroase offers a variety of food and drinks. Ice cream and sweets are also available. The food is freshly prepared and offers something for every taste.
There is plenty of shaded seating available on our terrace.
As the snack bar is run by an external service provider, opening times may vary depending on the weather.
Sunbathing areas
Every visitor will find a suitable spot on our ample sunbathing areas, whether in the sun or in the shade of our large trees, for relaxing at the back of the pool or near the pool. We also offer many seating options in the sunbathing areas.
Further offers
In our open-air areas, we offer children additional activities (climbing frames, sandpit with sand toys, swings). There is also a beach volleyball court. Balls and other water equipment (swimming noodles, swimming aids, beach balls, diving goggles) can be borrowed free of charge.
Lifeguards
We are supported by external lifeguards. Some of our club members are also organized in water rescue teams and can provide information on lifeguard training if you are interested. Please contact us.
