Description
Located right in the heart of Sehnde and directly adjacent to the idyllic Papenholz forest, the Waldbad Sehnde is the perfect place to take a break on hot summer days. Since the 2021 swimming season, the outdoor pool has been operated by Stadtwerke Sehnde, and thanks to its comfortable heating system, it has offered the highest level of swimming comfort even on cooler days since September 2021.
Whether you’re looking to get active or relax on the sunbathing lawn—there’s something for everyone at the Waldbad. The spacious swimming pool, with separate areas for swimmers and non-swimmers, the slide, and the 1- and 3-meter diving platforms ensure plenty of water fun. Younger guests can let off steam in the toddler pool with its water play features.
There’s also plenty to discover outside the water: beach volleyball courts invite you to play exciting matches, while a playground with a trampoline, swings, and seesaws is sure to make children’s hearts race. In addition, an outdoor chessboard and a Connect Four board are available for a variety of entertainment. For a relaxing time, visitors can use the provided lounge chairs and enjoy the special atmosphere where the city meets nature.
Rounding out the experience is a lovingly run kiosk with a sustainable concept. Here, guests can enjoy delicious snacks, refreshing drinks, and light meals for the perfect day at the pool.
The Sehnde Forest Bath combines recreational fun, relaxation, and a connection with nature—a popular gathering spot for families, friends, and anyone looking to enjoy the summer.
