Qi Gong is a very old art of movement. It is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) alongside acupuncture and others. Qi Gong are the healing exercises of TCM.
Qi Gong strengthens the body's own vital energy (Qi) through regular exercise practice (Gong). The focus is on relaxation. This is because a relaxed and therefore permeable body is the best prerequisite for Qi to flow. So we practise moving in a relaxed way, away from the pressure to perform, higher, further, bigger...
Qi Gong trains body awareness and has a regulating and balancing effect on the entire organism.
It creates inner peace.
In a Qi Gong class, we practise a selected series of exercises over several sessions. The exercises are simple and are repeated several times.
You can practise in comfortable everyday clothing. You can practise in soft shoes, socks or barefoot. Previous knowledge is not necessary. Barriers: there are 3 steps in the karate school room.
Qi Gong is traditionally practiced outdoors in order to be in contact with the energies of nature. In the fall, at the latest after the time change, we will retreat to the rooms of the Ehrenkirchen-Norsingen Karate School and practice Qi Gong in the warm and dry.
